This car will go to the highest bidder, regardless of price - I must get it out of my garage next week since I am in the process of selling my condominium. (Note that the coilovers and trophies shown in the cover picture are not a part of this auction, but you do get a nice carbon fiber hood, lol...)
Up for auction - my baby - a 1999 Honda Civic SI Race Car with thousands of dollars worth of racing parts and 100s of hours of labor spent installing them. I am the original owner, and love this car. It was an absolute terror on the local Autocross scene, winning many races, and earning me many trophies and the respect of my peers - several of whom are multi time Autocross National Champions.
With the right set of coilovers, and tires it is a giant killer on the track or Autocross course - I routinely embarrassed Corvettes, Porches, WRXs, and Ferraris with it. It was most recently run in the local "California Street Modified" outlaw class since it was too fast and highly modified for the "legitimate" classes.
lol...It did really well in that class too, routinely placing in the top 3, and often in the top 15 or 20 cars in raw time - out of over 300 entrants, and some of the best drivers and cars in the country.
Make no mistake - this car is capable of kicking ass - though its now riding on it's stock suspension and is naturally aspirated - the foundation is still there, lying in wait for the right buyer.

Known issues:
This is a RACE car, and is not currently registered or smog legal, although it does have all the smog legal hardware installed, including a brand new 02 Sensor and an OEM 3 way California legal Cat that passed smog two years ago. It needs some tuning and debugging if you want to register it.
Car was supercharged for several years, and made 226hp at wheels at 8.8 psi of boost.
There is a slight coolant leak around the intake manifold bypass hose.
The OEM computer currently runs the engine. It is suggested that the new owner have the car towed to it's new home, although it starts immediately and runs fine, it has a high idle speed (between 1500 and 2000 rpm) and a check engine light, so you could drive it home, but I do not recommend breaking the law to do so.
3rd gear can be a little balky sometimes when upshifting near redline - this has been an issue for several years with no effect - probably worn syncros.
Header rattles a bit at certain idle RPMs - this is a normal side effect of racing headers.
Bodywork has various scratches and dents. See the Overall the clearcoat, especially on top surfaces is in good shape and polishes up nicely
Summary:
Compression and leak down were fine when I checked them 1 year ago, and she passed smog with flying colors once detuned back in 07, so the engine is mechanically sound, although like all first generation V-tecs it uses a lot of oil when used in anger. This is a bullet-proof engine, and has never let me down.
This car has been run very hard, but also cared for extremely well, always receiving Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil, at 5000 mile intervals and meticulously maintained for racing. It would make a great project race car or parts car, and has been very reliable over the years.
I'm moving onto a boat and sailing south to Mexico, so the car has to go now....My loss is your gain.
