2005 Lancer Evolution Drag Car rolling Chassis with exras!!!
This build was put together to be the world’s fastest Lancer evolution, and for that goal, no expense was spared. To this day, the body itself has less than 4000 actual miles. Things have changed and the project has been abandoned so it is time to part with this magnificent example of “How it is supposed to be done.” This auction is for the rolling chassis ONLY, though pictured with motor, drive train, and mostly complete. What will be included in the sale is the car which is equipped with an APR widebody kit and carbon fiber VIS hood and trunk, a 25-4 chromoly NHRA certified roll cage (7.5 and slower) drag wing, Stroud parachute with cable which runs through the cage tubing and not along it and anodized red handle. Stroud window net, Stroud 5 point harness, Kirkey racing seat shell and momo steering wheel. The front core support has been removed for turbo manifold clearance and has been supported with a removable chromoly front frame support which allows for easy removal and access to the engine and transmission. The front bumper is secured via Dzus fasteners. All of the windows are lexan and installed with counter sunk alan bolts. The rear of the car has been fitted with the proper supports and mounting for wheelie bars, which can be purchased if the new buyer is interested in running the same setup. Included with the rolling chassis will be a built rear differential fitted with a Kaaz limited slip, Driveshaft Shop Level 5 rear axles and hubs, and a front and rear mini brake kit which utilizes wildwood components and allows the use of 15” wheels (like AMS sells but not AMS), and Halon system with activation switch and whatever tubing and nozzles that came with the kit. Everything is custom at this level and especially on this Evo. THE 16” CCW WHEELS PICTURED ON THE CAR ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE!! The car will come on a set of 17” Enkei wheels to roll around on until the correct setup is put together. All chassis fabrication was done by Red Zone Race Fabrication in Simi Valley, CA. There is over $30k invested in the chassis alone on this machine, not including the extras or the car. There is yet to be full body Evo that I have seen with this extensive of chassis fabrication, it was done right from the beginning and that was to run NHRA, not to just show up at DSM shootouts with an 8 point light cage and run fast, this is a real world race car with the proper foundation, just put your drive train, suspension and electronics and you will be on your way to being deep in the 8’s. The parts not included are available for sale from engine management, turbo kit, complete motor and a brand new Shepherd Racing Dog Box Transmission, all of which have never been used only bolted on the car. I am pricing the complete rolling chassis with extras for less than money invested for the chassis fabrication alone. If you wanted to duplicate this setup, you would pay double and this includes the car.
