Up for sale is a 1939 Plymouth Coupe. I have had it for about 7 years now and have been gathering parts for it since then. According to the last owner, it was an old drag car years ago, possibly in Connecticut. I have been dreaming of turning this into a traditional styled hot rod with a hemi and four speed for years. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or the resources to make this dream come true. I have a lot more invested in this car than I am asking, but it really needs to go. Hopefully it'll go to a good home and be returned to the road as it deserves. Finished, this car will be the one that everyone salivates over. These plymouths are very cool cars and have absolutely beautiful lines. There are many parts interchangeable with the 37 and 38 models as well including the front sheetmetal. Although I don't have pictured the parts I have collected over the years, there are a bunch. I have the nose for the car, minus the hood sides and headlight assemblies. Originally, I planned on putting a 32 PB grille shell on in order to run fenderless. The pb and 31 chevy grille shells pictures are not included with the car. When I got it, it had no drive line, but it had engine mounts welded in
it. It looks like it has an 8 3/4" rear in it but I don't know if it is
posi. The center grille portion is damaged. It has the trunk deck hinges.Several years ago, I purchased a 37 plymouth which had rolled over and had the bottom 18" of the car removed so it could be grafted onto this one. I have nice floor pans, a nice trunk, nice quarter panel bottoms with parts of the wheelhouses. I also have good rocker panels with the bottom of the cowl and dog leg in front of the rear fender. I also have the center valence under the trunk. Included is a nice used set of hinges for the doors and inside window trim (I think I may be missing the driver's door trim). Also included is a 1937 plymouth firewall in nice shape. At another point, I purchased a 39 parts car and have a bunch of really good parts from that. I have a set of taillight assemblies, complete dashboard with radio delete plate, nice mohair bench seat, steering column with wheel and box, inside handles and cranks, kick panels, a full set of 39 plymouth wheels with tires, and some other parts I can't remember.I have picked up 3 extra rear fenders, and one front fender.
This car is a heavy project, but don't be mistaken, this car is worth the work. The car is in as-is condition. It comes with a transferable registration. Buyer to pay within 10 days of auction close. Car must be paid for prior to pickup. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling. Buyer to pay $500 non-refundable deposit at auction close. Thanks for looking!Happy Bidding.

To answer a question a few people have asked, the lettering on the trunk deck once read "CAUTION RACE CAR IN TOW." Also, the tow bar is a homemade piece that looks to be from the time the car was raced.

A lot of people have been asking for extra photos. These are some of the parts included with the car, but not all of the parts in the photos are included. Unfortunately the area where I have the parts are stored is very cramped so other things crop into the pictures. Thanks for your interest and Happy Bidding!!!!
