You are bidding on this blown injected BBC 496 gas motor. For the V-drive boat, flatbottom boat, drag boat and hydro. Let me tell you about the motor that I am talking about. About 5 years ago I bought this motor that was in a Sanger hydro from a guy that had it for over 20 years. When he bought it, it had a blown SBC. It really wasn't that fast. So he built a 496 with a 671 with a couple of carburetors. Now he thinks he is hot stuff. He made 6 trips to the river. Over the winter he pulled the motor out. He pulled the blower manifold and the blower with a pair of carburetors off of the motor and sold them. He bought a new BDS blower manifold water cooled, 871 blower and Enderly hat. He sent the hat, pump and barrel valve out to Gene Addams and had everything flowed for gas. He sent the super mag out and had it serviced and it came back good to go. This motor sat this way for 18 years. When I bought the motor and hydro from him, he expressed that the motor was good. He was upgrading these parts so he could go faster, and this was just what I needed for one of my project boats. Shortly after I bought the Sanger with the blown motor and I sold the boat, sent the motor to my machine shop (Machine Tech Oceanside Ca.). I told them to pull the motor apart, mag everything, put it together and run it on the dino. About a week later they called me and told me to come to the shop because I had problems. When I got there my friend Monty told me my first problem was the crank had cracks in it. The second problem was the heads had cracks in them. My good deal was biting me in the ass. The good news was my block maged good. Shortly after that I ordered a new Eagle crank and a set of aluminum heads. That will take care of the gray ares in the motor.
